BRP Recalls All-Terrain Vehicles Due to Crash Hazard (Recall Alert)

A rear wheel can separate from the vehicle and cause a loss of control, posing a crash hazard to consumers.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact a BRP Can-Am ATV dealer for a free repair.  BRP is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Otis Elevator Company Recalls to Inspect Private Residence Elevators Due to Entrapment Hazard; Risk of Serious Injury or Death to Young Children

Children can become entrapped in the space between the exterior landing (hoistway) door and the interior elevator car door or gate, and suffer serious injuries or death when the elevator is called to another floor.

Remedy:

Consumers should disable or block children’s access to any Otis or CemcoLift private residence elevator and contact Otis to schedule a free inspection and the installation of space guard(s), if necessary.

Consumers should immediately stop riding the bicycle until the front fender is removed, and contact their local authorized Cannondale dealer or Cycling Sports Group to arrange for a free repair.

Infant fatalities have been reported with other manufacturers’ inclined sleep products, after infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained, or under other circumstances.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled inclined sleeper accessory and contact Graco for a refund for the accessory.  Consumers can continue to use the playard portion of the product and other accessories included with the playard.

Camp Chef Recalls Portable Gas Stoves Due to Fire Hazard

An internal part of the gas regulator component can have a sharp edge that can wear or tear a hole in the seal causing gas to leak out of the top of the regulator, posing a fire hazard.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Camp Chef Stoves and contact Camp Chef to obtain a free gas regulator replacement kit.

The screw jack can collapse and cause the lifted vehicle to fall on a person, posing a crush hazard that can result in severe injury or death.

Remedy:

Customers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact a BRP Can-Am Off-Road dealer to receive a full refund.

LG Energy Solution Michigan Recalls Home Energy Storage Batteries Due to Fire Hazard

The home batteries can overheat, posing a risk of fire and emission of harmful smoke. 

Remedy:

Consumers with recalled batteries should immediately contact LG Energy Solution Michigan to schedule a free replacement.  LG Energy Solution Michigan, its distributors and its installers also are attempting to contact all owners directly to arrange for modifications to the recalled batteries to reduce the risk of overheating until they can be replaced with new batteries.

Thermo Tents Recalls Mór Series Tents Due to Fire Hazard; Tents are Mislabeled as Fire Retardant (Recall Alert)

The tents are incorrectly labeled as being fire retardant (FR), posing a fire hazard.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the tents below near any flame or other source of ignition.  The firm will send the purchasers a new free label stating that the tent is not fire retardant (FR).  Once consumers receive the new label, they should remove the incorrect original label, replace it with the new label, and keep the tents away from any flame or other source of ignition.  Thermo Tents is contacting all known purchasers.
