L. Carter Bosse of the Office of Risk Reduction, and other CPSC staff, will participate in an ASTM F15.81 subcommittee meeting for PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in consumer products on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. The virtual meeting will discuss ballot results for a new method to determine PFAS content in solids, the status of the ASTM F3700-25 guide for PFAS analysis in consumer products, as well as a new work item for a proposed test method for determining total organic fluorine (TOF) in solids.
