Joanna Matheson and Other CPSC Staff will participate in a meeting with the U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 229 (Nanotechnology)

Joanna Matheson, Directorate for Health Sciences, and other staff will participate in a meeting of the U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 229 (nanotechnology) on September 18-19, 2024 from 9:00am to 4:30pm ET. The U.S. TAG working groups will meet on September 18th and the morning of September 19th to discuss current work items. Working groups 1, 4 and 5 (terminology, materials specifications, and products and applications, respectively) will meet the morning of September 18th (9:00am-12:00pm) and working group 3 (health, safety and environmental aspects) will meet the afternoon of September 18th (1:00pm-4:30pm). Working group 2 (measurement and characterization) will meet the morning of September 19th from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The U.S. TAG general meeting will be held the afternoon of September 19th from 1:00pm to 4:30pm and will consist of working group updates, updates on related nanotechnology standardization activities and discussions on the future work plan in preparation for the ISO TC/229 plenary and working group meetings in Calgary, Canada (October 21, 2024 – October 25, 2024). This is a virtual meeting.
