Kristen Talcott of Engineering Sciences, Priscilla Verdino of Laboratory Sciences, and other CPSC staff are attending a meeting with the ASTM F15.42 Furniture Safety Subcommittee to discuss topics related to the standard for Clothing Storage Units/tip over (ASTM F2057). The meeting may also include discussion of Clothing Storage Chests (ASTM F2598), and Tip Restraints (ASTM F3096). The meeting will be held in-person at the U.S. CPSC National Product Testing and Evaluation Center in Rockville, MD on January 31, 2023, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM ET.  This meeting was requested by ASTM.  For additional information, contact Kristen Talcott, ktalcott@cpsc.gov, or Priscilla Verdino, Pverdino@cpsc.gov.

In-person attendees should plan to arrive 20 minutes before the meeting in order to allow time to clear building security.  A government-issued ID will be required. In addition, in response to a potential change in Montgomery County’s CDC COVID-19 community level to HIGH, additional requirements for attendees to this meeting may be implemented. If Montgomery County’s COVID-19 community level is changed to HIGH, employees, visitors, and contractors, would be required to wear a high-quality mask or respirator and complete symptom screening, regardless of vaccination status. If, for any reason, a visitor is unable or unwilling to follow these protocols, they will not be permitted to enter the facility.
