Acting Chairman Bob Adler and Staff will be meeting with representatives of the American Fireworks Standards Laboratory (AFSL) to discuss enhancing compliance efforts related to consumer firework standards. Specifically, AFSL would like to discuss CPSC’s current resources dedicated to fireworks enforcement, possible additional training and resource allocation to firework enforcement, and other reporting and response mechanism for trade complaints. Attendees include: AFSL Executive Director, John Rogers and AFSL General Counsel, Quin Dodd. The meeting will be held at CPSC Headquarters in Bethesda Towers, Room 725.
