Joel Recht, Mark Kumagai, Janet Buyer (Directorate for Engineering Sciences), and Matt Brookman, (Directorate for Laboratory Sciences), will participate in a teleconference of the Portable Generator Manufacturers Association’s (PGMA) technical committee and standards steering committee; 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to discuss the latest draft proposed revisions to the PGMA G300 standard, Safety and Performance of Portable Generators.  These revisions are for requirements for CO detection and shutoff systems, which are intended to address the carbon monoxide poisoning hazard associated with portable generators when used in enclosed spaces.  The meeting was requested by PGMA.  For additional information, contact Janet Buyer, jbuyer@cpsc.gov (301)987-2293.  Transmitted to the Office of the Secretary 8/8/17.  Posted in the Public Calendar 8/9/17.
