"As Halloween approaches, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is providing tips for preventing injuries to trick-or-treaters with me today is Yolanda Fultz-Morris, a spokesperson for the Consumer Product Safety Commission."
"Yolanda, what do parents need to know to help prevent injuries this Halloween to their kids?"
"To help prevent injuries this Halloween, parents need to make sure that their kids costumes are made from flame-resistant fabrics such as nylon or polyester or look for the label "flame-resistant". Flame-resistant fabrics will resist burning and should extinguish quickly. Also, parents should make sure their kids are carying flashlights to see and be seen.
