"Henry" Gym Sets Recalled by Menard

PRODUCT: "Henry" Gym Sets - Menard Inc. of Eau Claire, Wis., is recalling about 8,000 "Henry" Gym Sets, model #68. It includes two swings and a glider. The gym set is chrome colored with a blue top horizontal bar. The 18 Menard retail stores in the North Central region of the U.S. sold these gym sets from July 1991 through August 1998 for about $50.

PROBLEM: If assembled incorrectly, the glider support tube on these gym sets could bend or break, causing the riders to fall or be thrown from the glider.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES: A three-year-old boy was thrown to the ground when the support tube on the gym set broke. He did not suffer any injuries.

WHAT TO DO: Consumers should not allow children to ride on the gym set glider until they check if their gym set is assembled correctly. To determine this and to receive revised assembly instructions, consumers should call Menard Inc. toll-free at (888) 215-3349 anytime.
