Pier 1 Imports Recalls Golden Tea Lights Due to Fire Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, Pier 1 Imports®, of Fort Worth, Texas, is voluntarily recalling about 370,000 (in the United States) and 30,000 (in Canada) Golden tea lights sold with ornament tea light holders. The flame from the tea lights can burn with a high flame, posing a fire hazard.
Jogging Strollers Recalled by B.O.B. Trailers Due to Strangulation Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, B.O.B. Trailers Inc., of Boise, Idaho, is voluntarily recalling about 337,000 (in the United States) and 20,000 (in Canada) B.O.B.® single and double strollers. A drawstring on the stroller can get wrapped around a child's neck, posing a strangulation hazard.
Le Creuset Recalls Glass Lids Due to Laceration Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Le Creuset of America Inc., of Early Branch, S.C., is voluntarily recalling about 1,800 Le Creuset glass lids. The glass lids can crack or break during use, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.
Remote Control Systems Recalled by Niles Audio Due to Fire Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Niles Audio Corp., of Miami, Fla., is voluntarily recalling about 4,160 remote control systems for entertainment electronics. If the battery falls from the remote control during handling, it can rupture and smoke or ignite, posing a fire hazard.
REI Recalls Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.) dba Novara, of Kent, Wash., is voluntarily recalling about 160 Novara fusion bicycles. The alloy steerer tube could separate from the fork causing the rider to lose control, posing a fall hazard to consumers.
Felt Bicycles Recalls Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Felt Bicycles, of Irvine, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 1,550 2011 Felt adult bicycles. The bicycle's fork can break, causing the rider to lose control, fall and suffer injuries.
Resistance Stretch Tubing Recalled by EB Brands Due to Injury Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, EB Brands, of Yonkers, New York, is voluntarily recalling about 29,700 resistance stretch tubing units. The handle on the tubing, also called bands, can break or detach while in use, causing the tubing or handle to strike the user and posing an injury hazard.
Sno-Tek Snow Blowers Recalled by Liquid Combustion Technology Due to Laceration Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, Liquid Combustion Technology, LLC (LCT), of Travelers Rest, S.C., is voluntarily recalling about 1,500 (in the United States) and 300 (in Canada) Sno-Tek snow blowers. The snow blower's engine is missing a safety shield above the side mounted electric starter, posing a laceration hazard to consumer's fingers.
Perfect Pullup Recalled by Perfect Fitness Due to Fall Injury Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Perfect Fitness, of Mill Valley, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 7,000 Perfect Pullups. The plastic handle on the recalled product can crack posing a fall injury hazard for the user.
IKEA Recalls to Repair Cribs Due to Mattress Support Collapse; Cribs Pose Entrapment and Suffocation Hazards
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, IKEA Home Furnishings, of Conshohocken, Pa., is voluntarily recalling about 20,000 (in the United States) and 6,000 (in Canada) SNIGLAR cribs. The four bolts provided with some SNIGLAR cribs to secure the mattress support are not long enough. This can cause the mattress support to detach and collapse, creating a risk of entrapment and suffocation to a child in the crib.
James Perse Recalls Jackets Due to Violation of Federal Flammability Standard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, New Live, Los Angeles, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 6,700 units men's and women's jackets. The jackets fail to meet the federal flammability standard for wearing apparel, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Recalls Children's Watches Due to Risk of Skin Irritation
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, of Lake Buena Vista, Fla., is voluntarily recalling about 1,200 Children's Light-up Watches. Watch battery current interacting with nickel in the watch's stainless steel back can cause skin irritation and/or burning sensations to children who are allergic to nickel.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Kristi G Company, of Atlanta, and SwimWays Corp., of Virginia Beach, Va., are voluntarily recalling about 5,200 Kristi G Go & Grow chairs. The chair can tip over, posing a fall hazard.
LEM Products Recalls Food Dehydrators Due to Fire Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, LEM Products, of Harrison, Ohio, is voluntarily recalling about 3,500 food dehydrators with digital timers. The screws that secure the motor to the back panel can come loose, causing the motor to fall on the heating element. This poses a fire hazard.
Atico International USA Recalls Heaters Due to Fire Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Dollar General Stores
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Atico International USA, Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is voluntarily recalling about 92,000 TrueLiving Heater Fans and Portable Quartz Radiant Heaters. These heaters have caught fire, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Bassinets Recalled by Burlington Basket Company Due to Fall Hazard; New Instructions and Warning Labels to be Provided to Consumers
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Burlington Basket Company, of Burlington, Iowa, is voluntarily recalling about 500,000 Bassinets. If the cross-bracing rails are not fully locked into position, the bassinets can collapse causing the infant to fall to the floor or fall within the bassinet and suffer injuries.
Balsam Hill Recalls Pre-lit Christmas Trees Due to Shock Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Balsam Hill LLC, of Redwood City, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 1,333 Pre-lit artificial Christmas trees. Christmas trees advertised before Dec. 21, 2010 as indoor/outdoor were supplied with extension cords rated for indoor use only, posing an electrical shock hazard if used outside.

Two Strangulation Deaths Prompt Summer Infant to Recall Video Baby Monitors with Cords; Firm to Provide New On-Product Label & Instructions
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with Summer Infant Inc., of Woonsocket, R.I., is announcing the voluntary recall to provide new on product label and instructions for about 1.7 million video baby monitors with electrical cords. The cords can present a strangulation hazard to infants and toddlers if placed too close to a crib. Because of this serious strangulation risk, parents and caregivers should never place these and other corded cameras within three feet of a crib.
Rechargeable Batteries in Video Baby Monitors Recalled to Replace by Summer Infant Due to Burn Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Babies R Us
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Summer Infant, of Woonsocket, R.I., is voluntarily recalling about 58,000 Rechargeable batteries sold with certain Slim and Secure Video Monitors. The battery in the handheld video monitor can overheat and rupture, posing a burn hazard to consumers.
CPSC Investigation Finds No Problem Drywall or Environmental Factors Linked to Ft. Bragg Deaths
Conclusions from a broad investigation by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) presented to Ft. Bragg military officials and families today, found no evidence either of problem drywall or environmental factors linked to the deaths of three infants. This investigation confirms the results of previous analysis of Ft. Bragg homes by others, which also found no link to problem drywall.
Hoover Recalls WindTunnel Canister Vacuums Due to Fire and Shock Hazards
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Hoover Inc., of Glenwillow, Ohio, is voluntarily recalling about 142,000 Hoover® WindTunnel Canister vacuums. The power cord between the power nozzle and the wand connector can short-circuit posing fire and shock hazards to consumers. This condition can occur even if the vacuum has been turned off but left plugged in.
AmerTac Recalls Night Lights Due to Fire and Burn Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, American Tack & Hardware Co. Inc. (AmerTac), of Saddle River, N.J., is voluntarily recalling about 261,000 LED night lights. An electrical short circuit in the night light can cause it to overheat and smolder or melt, which can burn consumers or result in fire.
MIKI HOUSE USA Recalls Children's Hooded Jackets Due to Strangulation Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, MIKI HOUSE USA Inc. of New York, is voluntarily recalling about 10 Windbreaker Jackets. The jackets contain drawstrings which pose strangulation and entrapment hazards to young children.
Simplex Fire Alarm Control Panels Recalled by Tyco Safety Products Westminster Due to Failure to Alert Monitoring Centers
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Tyco Safety Products Westminster of Westminster, Mass., is voluntarily recalling about 540 Simplex fire alarm control panels. The recalled fire alarm control panels can fail to send a signal to alert monitoring centers in the event of a fire.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Tech 4 Kids Inc., of Canada, is voluntarily recalling about 2,100 OUTER EDGE snow bikes. The front ski can crack or break, causing the snow bike to stop suddenly and posing a fall hazard to consumers.
Portable Space Heaters Recalled by PD Sixty Distributor Due to Fire Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, PD Sixty Distributor Inc., of Norcross, Ga., is voluntarily recalling about 3,000 Portable space heaters. The space heater can overheat due to loose electrical connections, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Lasko Recalls Portable Electric Heaters Due To Fire Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Lasko Products Inc., of West Chester, Pa., is voluntarily recalling about 107,500 portable electric heaters. An electrical connection in the base of the unit can overheat, causing it to melt and expose the electrical connection, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Escalade Sports Recalls Oasis Playsets Due to Fall Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Escalade Sports of Evansville, Ind., is voluntarily recalling about 4,600 Outdoor playsets. The swing seats on the playsets can crack and break in half, causing the user to fall to the ground.
WARNING: Generation 2 Worldwide "SafetyCraft" Brand Drop-Side Cribs Pose Risks of Strangulation, Suffocation; Hardware Linked to Deaths and Injuries
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers that "SafetyCraft" brand full-size and portable drop-side cribs manufactured or distributed by Generation 2 Worldwide of Dothan, Alabama, contain drop-side hardware that appears to be identical to Generation 2 Worldwide ChildESIGNS brand drop-side cribs recalled in February 2010. This hardware found on SafetyCraft drop-side cribs can fail and place infants and toddlers at risk of strangulation and suffocation. CPSC staff urges parents and caregivers to stop using these cribs immediately and find an alternative, safe sleeping environment for their baby. Do not attempt to fix these cribs.
Sunbeam Products Inc. Recalls Convertible Irons Due to Fire Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Bed, Bath & Beyond
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Sunbeam Products Inc., Boca Raton, Fla., is voluntarily recalling about 5,700 convertible clothes irons. The iron can overheat and cause a fire because of a wiring issue, posing a risk of burn injury to consumers.
DeVilbiss Recalls Air Compressors Due to Fire Hazard
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, DeVilbiss Air Power Company of Jackson, Tenn., is voluntarily recalling about 460,000 air compressors. The air compressor motor can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
CPSC Extends Stay of Enforcement for Testing and Certification of Lead Content in Children's Products Until December 31, 2011
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) voted 4-1 on January 31, 2011 to extend the stay of enforcement for testing and certification of lead content in children's products (except for metal components of children's metal jewelry) until December 31, 2011.
