CPSC, Tile Perfect Inc. Announce Recall of Stand'n Seal Grout Sealer Due to Respiratory Problems
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Tile Perfect, a division of Roanoke Companies Group Inc., of Aurora, Ill., is voluntarily recalling about 300,000 cans of Stand'n Seal "Spray-On" Grout Sealer sold in 2005. The product's odor is not chemically pungent enough to force consumers to minimize their exposure to the fumes. Consumers overexposed to these fumes can experience respiratory-related illness.
CPSC, Target Announce Recall of Back Trails Jr. Bicycle Helmets
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Target, of Minneapolis, Minn., is voluntarily recalling about 494,000 Back Trails Jr. Toddler, Youth and Child Bicycle Helmets. Some of these helmets do not meet CPSC safety standards for bicycle helmets, which poses a risk of riders suffering head injuries.
CPSC Warns of Deadly Post-Storm Dangers with Portable Generators, Candles and Wet Appliances
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning residents of the Gulf Coast hit by Hurricane Katrina not to let disaster strike a second time. Deadly dangers exist in and around homes affected by the hurricane. The most serious hazard involves portable generators, which will be used in areas where the electricity has been knocked out by hurricane force winds and flooding.
CPSC, Hidden Hills Productions, Inc. Announce Recall of Floor Mat Map Games
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Team WorldWide Corp., of Taipei City, Taiwan and Hidden Hills Productions Inc., of Westlake Village, Calif., are voluntarily recalling 140 Maptangle™ World Edition Floor Mat Map Games. The orange paint on the floor mat maps contains excess levels of lead. Lead poisoning is a serious hazard to children and is associated with behavioral problems, learning disabilities, hearing problems and growth retardation.
CPSC, Nexgrill Industries Inc. Announce Recall of Outdoor Gas Grills
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Nexgrill Industries Inc., of City of Industry, Calif., is voluntarily recalling 644 Jenn-Air Model 720-0100 Natural Gas Outdoor Gas Grills. A hose connecting the natural gas source to the grill's main manifold may not have been supplied with these grills. Without this hose, the gas would be emitted into the air, creating a potential fire hazard. Consumers should not use the grill until the main burner hose is provided.
CPSC, ZoloWear Announce Recall of Infant Carriers/Slings
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), ZoloWear Inc., of Austin, Texas, is voluntarily recalling about 177 ZoloWear Infant Carriers/Slings. The stitching that attaches the webbing to the carrier/sling can break, posing a fall hazard to young children.
CPSC, Lamplight Farms Inc. Announce Recall of TikiŽ Bamboo Torches and Replacement Fuel Canisters
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Lamplight Farms Inc., of Menomonee Falls, Wis., is voluntarily recalling about 963,000 Tiki® bamboo torches and about 18,000 replacement fuel canisters. The surface coating of some flame guards on these bamboo torches and replacement canisters can absorb the fuel and ignite. This can cause the torch and nearby combustibles to catch on fire, posing a risk of burn injuries and property damage.
CPSC, Stork Craft Manufacturing Inc. Announce Recall of Toy Boxes
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Craft Manufacturing Inc., of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, is voluntarily recalling about 3,300 Stork Craft Toy Boxes. The toy box's lid support can fail, allowing the lid to collapse suddenly. This poses a strangulation hazard to young children, and possible impact injuries to a child's head, neck, fingers or hands.
CPSC, Kadant Composites Inc. Announce Recall of Certain GeoDeck Decking and Railing Materials
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Kadant Composites Inc., of Bedford, Mass., is voluntarily recalling about 11,000 constructed decks GeoDeck Decking and Railing Materials. When the decking or railing material is exposed to hot temperatures and sunlight, it can prematurely degrade. The degraded material could break, posing a fall hazard to consumers.
CPSC, West Bend Housewares LLC Announce Recall of Coffeemaker Carafes
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), West Bend Housewares LLC, of West Bend, Wis., is voluntarily recalling about 14,000 10-Cup Coffeemaker Carafes and Replacement Carafes. The carafe handle can unexpectedly loosen or break, resulting in the carafe falling. This can cause burn injuries from hot coffee or lacerations from broken glass.
CPSC Issues New Back-To-School Safety Tips
With this year's back to school season in full swing, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is urging parents, teachers and school administrators to help prevent unnecessary injuries this fall by conducting a series of safety checks to identify hidden hazards in and around schools.
CPSC, Whittier Wood Products Announce Recall of Pub Stools
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Whittier Wood Products, of Eugene, Ore., is voluntarily recalling about 2,200 Pub Stools. The amount of glue used to bond and hold the joints together on these stools could be insufficient. These stools could break and collapse during use, causing consumers to fall.
CPSC, Almar Sales Co. Announce Recall of Children's Watches
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Almar Sales Co. Inc., of New York, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 50,400 Water Watches. The band on the watch contains liquid petroleum distillates. If punctured the watch band could leak. Petroleum distillates could be harmful if ingested and cause irritation to the skin or eyes on contact.
CPSC, Torelli Imports Announce Recall of Bicycle Tires
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Torelli Imports, of Camarillo, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 1,100 Bicycle Tires. The tire can separate from the wheel, resulting in a flat tire. This can cause the rider to lose control and fall.
CPSC, JS Products and Mac Tools Announce Recall of Cordless Drill/Drivers
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), JS Products, of Las Vegas, Nev. and Mac Tools, of Westerville, Ohio, are voluntarily recalling about 2,000 3/8-Inch Drive Cordless Drill/Drivers. The battery packs on these drill/drivers can overheat, expand and possibly rupture, creating an explosion or thermal burn hazard.
CPSC, The Gymboree Corp. Announce Recall of Baby Sandals
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), The Gymboree Corp., of San Francisco, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 5,600 Caroline Flower Baby Sandals. A plastic flower attached to the sandals can pull or snap off, posing a choking hazard to young children.
CPSC, Ritchey Design Inc. Announce Recall of Bicycle Wheels
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Ritchey Design, of San Carlos, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 2,000 Ritchey WCS - Protocol, Carbon, DS, DS Aero, Girder models (all rear wheels only). The hub in the bicycle's rear wheel can fail to engage properly, causing no resistance when pedaling. The bicycle rider can lose balance, fall and suffer injuries.

Commission (CPSC), The Holmes Group, of Milford, Mass., is
voluntarily recalling about 180,000 Holmes® and Bionaire® Tower Heater Fans. The power cord on the units can fray or sever causing the fan to stop working and overheat. This could pose a fire hazard to consumers.
CPSC, Kelty Announce Recall of Speedster Jogging Strollers

Commission (CPSC), Kelty Division of American Recreation Products Inc., of Boulder Colo. is voluntarily recalling 349 Kelty Speedster Deluxe and Speedster Deuce Jogging Strollers. The stroller handle can disconnect from stroller frame during use.
CPSC, American Classic Announce Recall of Bicycle Wheels

Commission (CPSC), American Classic, of Tampa, Fla., is
voluntarily recalling about 2,850 American Classic road and mountain bike wheels. The hub in the bicycle's rear wheel can fail to engage properly, causing no resistance when pedaling. The bicycle rider could lose balance, fall and suffer injuries.
CPSC, ICON Health & Fitness, Inc. Announce Recall to Repair Epic T60 Treadmills
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission (CPSC), ICON Health & Fitness, Inc., of Logan, Utah, is
voluntarily recalling about 16,700 Epic T60 treadmills. If assembly instructions are not properly followed the gas spring/shock can be damaged during assembly if the walking platform is folded up and goes beyond the vertical position. This action can cause the shock to contact the treadmill roller and be damaged and could propel shock parts out. The parts of the shock could hit a by-stander causing injury.
CPSC, DESA Heating Products Announce Recall of Compact Gas Fireplaces

Commission (CPSC), DESA Heating Products, of Bowling Green, Ky., is
voluntarily recalling 534 "Vanguard" and "FMI" Compact Fireplaces. The burner tube connection to the gas valve can leak gas when the main burner is on. This leaking gas can ignite, causing a minor flare-up, which could cause nearby combustibles to ignite.
CPSC, Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A. Announce Recall of ATVs
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission (CPSC), Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A., of Irvine, Calif., is
voluntarily recalling about 155,000 Kawasaki Model Year 2001-2005 Prairie and Brute Force All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs). A significant impact to the front wheel of the ATV while the steering is fully turned to either side can result in suspension damage, wear, and an eventual loss of steering control that could result in injury or death.
CPSC, WaveCrest Laboratories LLC Announce Recall of Electric Bicycles

voluntarily recalling 110 TidalForce S-750 High Performance Electric Bicycles. The front and/or rear wheel can collapse, causing the rider to fall and suffer injuries.

voluntarily recalling 76 2005 Cypress and Sedona bicycles. The rear axle on the bicycle is harder than required by the manufacturer's specification and could crack.
